ur client, a local Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning HVAC Contractor, has asked us to assist in finding their next great hire to join a team of professionals as they grow. We’re looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join them before winter's end. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, takes pride in excellent customer service, and can work independently and as part of a team while maintaining high-quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for residential and commercial customers.
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of HVAC systems.
  • Travel to job sites within the service area; communicate with dispatch regarding scheduling or delays.
  • Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for nights and weekends to support emergency service needs.
  • Maintain company vehicle, including refueling, reporting mechanical issues, completing inspection forms, and keeping it clean.
  • Manage proper inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment.
  • Understand company pricing to generate accurate customer invoices onsite; ensure proper customer signatures and equipment details are collected.
  • Document all equipment upon arrival (make, model, serial numbers, fuel type, test measurements, and photos as needed).
  • Diagnose service issues, secure replacement parts, perform system calibrations per manufacturer guidelines, and clearly explain findings and solutions to customers.
  • Attend company-provided training to stay current with industry technologies.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, system upgrades, or maintenance contracts, and report them to the Operations Manager and CEO.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 2+ years proven experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and equipment manuals.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Desire to work as a team and take responsibility for projects/work.
