Our client, First Place AZ is seeking an HR professional ready to make a meaningful difference in an organization that transforms lives.

WHO WE ARE

First Place AZ is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit established in 2012 with a powerful vision: ensuring housing and community options are as bountiful for adults with autism and other neurodiversities as they are for everyone else. Our flagship property, First Place–Phoenix, is an 81,000-square-foot property in midtown Phoenix that includes 63 apartments where residents with autism and other neurodiversities live independently with supportive amenities.

Our organization consists of three key components:

  • First Place Apartments: Studio, one-, two-, and four-bedroom units for residents supported by specialized independent living services
  • First Place Transition Academy: A two-year residential program helping participants develop crucial independent living and career-readiness skills
  • First Place Global Leadership Institute: A center for training professionals and advancing research and policy in supportive housing

THE ROLE

As our HR Manager, you'll be the vital link between management and our passionate team. You'll build and nurture our unique culture while overseeing all aspects of human resources for an organization that values resourcefulness, integrity, and commitment to excellence.

The position details:

  • At least two days onsite at our Phoenix location (3001 N. Third St., Phoenix, AZ 85012)
  • Reports directly to the COO

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role
  • Proven HR experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite
  • Collaborative management style
  • Commitment to diversity and ethical standards
